Simmons Whitetail Classic Rifle Scope Mil Dot
I am looking for a mid range scope for the 10/22 and am willing to spend 100-$200. I have narrowed it down to some selections:
Mueller APV 4.5-14x40mm AO.$130
Mueller APT 4.5-14x40mm AO w/ mil dot.$170
Simmons Whitetail classic 6.5-20x50mm AO.$110
Leupold Rifleman 2-7x 33mm.$185
My 10/22 will be a combo benchrest/varmint scope. Right now I have the basic stock carbine. I am going to upgrade to a scope, then get the Kidd drop in trigger. If I am happy with my groupings, I'll leave it the way it is but if I want more, I will be getting a .920 barrel. I want the scope to hold zero, which I doub't any of my selection will have any problem with, maintain clarification with the higher magnification and be accurate from 20-100 yards. I will not be making any shots further than 100 yards. Can anybody give me any advice or experience with any of these scopes I listed? Thank you!
what rings and scope base are you using with your whitetail classic? any pics???
I know it's not on your list, but my redfield 3-9x40mm(made in Oregon)was $200 and it is amazing on my ruger american with just a quick boresight @ 100yrds.
I was looking at that redfield and I like how it's made in the USA and I think Redfield is owned by Leupold but I prefer a scope with an AO. What do you think about this soloshot?
I like the adjustable objective on my Revolution, but it isn't in yards.. just numbers, But boy what a difference it makes. If you go on redfields site(not sight) they will send you a fancy piece of 2013 propaganda, with all kinds of information on their scopes & optics.

just reporting back on my thread, i got a mueller APV. it has clear glass and not fuzzy/hazy on higher magnifications. the adjustable objective comes in handy. this was a great value for the price.
i also added a kidd trigger w/ trigger pull adjusted to 2.25 lbs, auto bolt release, bolt buffer, VQ edge extractor. looking at threaded barrels for a can when i can afford to lol...
